Red Army

The Red Army is a football firm who follow Manchester United. The name The Red Army was given to the Manchester United away support in the 1970s. During the 74-75 season when Manchester United got relegated from the first division of English football. The Red Army would cause mayhem around grounds up and down England. In 1985 a documentary was released known as Hooligan which was based around West Ham United’s trip to Old Trafford in the FA Cup sixth round.

Summary

Today The Red Army is a term that is mostly used by fans of the club in general. The Red Army is one of the biggest hooligan firms in England. The Red Army’s activities have declined massively since the 1980s as football hooliganism in general is much less of a problem than it was in the 80s and 90s.
