Dagenham and Redbridge – Victoria Road

The Victoria Road ground, currently known as the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium, for sponsorship purposes, has been the home of Dagenham and Redbridge FC since 1955.

It has a capacity of 6,000. On the South side of the ground is the covered, all-seater Carling (Main) Stand which was opened in 2001. The Carling Stand only runs for about ¾ of the length of the pitch and towards the Pondfield Road End is the Barking College Stand, which is not as high as the Main Stand and set further back from the pitch. Its 200 seats are given to away fans.

The bulk of the away supporters used to be housed in the Pondfield Road End, an open terrace, which is only 6 steps high. Since the 2010/11 season however, away fans have been housed in the 1,200 capacity Marcus James Stand, which is the biggest stand in the ground. Behind the other goal is the home end, the Bury Road End, which also houses the club shop. The ground is completed by the old fashioned looking North Terrace, affectionately known by the home fans as “The Sieve,” since it was once renowned for its leaking roof.
