Summary
Harrogate Town Football Club was founded in 1914, initially as a church team. In the early years, the team played in local leagues, including the West Riding County Amateur League. In the 1950s, the club joined the Yorkshire League and won the league title in the 1972-73 season.
In 1987, the club joined the Northern Counties East League and enjoyed success, winning the league title in the 1990-91 season. They then moved up to the Northern Premier League, where they spent many years before moving up to the National League North in 2017.
