Overall the best day of my life so far. Arrived in London on the train and because we used to live in london my dad was able to skip the ques and find somewhere to buy tube tickets with only a 10 minute wait, others waited 45 minutes. Went to my aunties to drop of our bags the got the tube towards wembley. As we went through kings cross again the tube filled up quickly with tons of United and City fans with the usual banter. Police were also on the tube. As we got off the tube we went the Quality hotel(thats the name)near the top of wembley way. The place was nearly empty and no problem getting in. Both fans there. Watched the first halve of West ham vs cardiff i think it was before heading towards wembley. Stopped at a mcdonalds at the top of wembley way and a good job to, half way down wembley way i saw a banner saying ' GREAT MEAL DEAL - LARGE BURGER CHIPS AND DRINK FOR £11' Walking up wembley way was fantastic allthough there were no City fans at all. Getting in was no trouble at all and saw a few United fans who had jibbed in. We dominated the whole of the first halve but two city attacks and we found ourselves 2-0 down. Second halve amazing, Smalling got the first the goal then some great play to make it 2-2. Vincant kompany made a mistake for nani to rush in and make in 3-2 , the city fans werent doing the poznan anymore. Getting out however was dreadfull. every 20 metres we were stopped and it was like that all the way to the tube station. However a great day

Been lucky enough to get to Wembley several times with my team. The location of the stadium is dreadful - it should have been in the Midlands. We've travelled there by car, train, and plane and its a nightmare to get to whichever way you choose. I'm not interested in having to get there and then take a train a few stops away to be able to get something to eat and drink, and then allow another hour to get back to get to my seat. Stewarding is a shambles. There is nothing around the stadium to do if you are there too early. I've had normal tickets and hospitality tickets, views are ok, but nothing to rave about. On the occasion we were there with hospitality facilities, the staff were still hoovering the floors as we arrived, the facilities are bare and has the air of being unfinished. Food is ok. Honestly - £100m for this venue, which just looks like a concrete exhibition centre, what a waste. Not a patch on Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. I should think the Wembley organisers and UEFA should be embarrassed at the prices for the CLF. Love the Bobby Moore statue.

I went to Wembley last season for the League Cup Final, and to be honest, it lacked the atmosphere of the old Wembley. Falling to bits the old Wembley may have been, but it felt like a football stadium. The new one feels, well, like an indoor arena, not a football ground. Yes, the view was excellent, yes, we all know it is horrifically expensive, but, to be honest, it doesn't feel right for a football ground. The arch over the top? Neat but looks unimaginative compared to the old towers. Next time there is an England game ot a cup final they may as well hold it in the NEC rather than Wembley, because I couldn't tell the difference. Oh yes, it is still a damn damn damn nightmare getting there.

I've been twice.
In 2008 for the JPT final and 2010 to see England take on Mexico.
I have to say whilst impressed with the stadium and getting in and out with considerable ease, I was shocked by the stewarding:
At the England match I was high up in the top tier, and I left 10 minutes early from the FIRST half in order to get a drink as it was an incredibly hot evening in May, this resulted in me missing Mexico's goal.
I was last in line to be served and they decided to close down the stall leaving me drink-less (I was going to pay a ridiculous price for a drink btw, I was that thirsty.) and got back into my seat to find out Glen Johnson had netted for England.

This resulted in me missing 2 goals, and not even getting my drink. England didn't even go on to score a 4th for me ;-)

Later on around 10 minutes from the end, as I was on a school trip I was told to go to the toilet then so I didnt face an uphill battle that I wouldn't win at the final whistle.
I went, and came back, and whilst going back to my seat I was denied entry back into the seating area for no reason whatsoever by the Steward. He told me I was 'to leave the stadium' but I insisted staying and being allowed back as I was on a school trip. I missed the rest of the match, not being allowed to cheer my country off to South Africa, missing 2 goals too, not even getting a drink as they decided to close the stall 3 minutes into the second half.

My 2008 trip to Wembley for the JPT final was a brilliant experience but I don't remember too much in terms of stewarding and prices of food as I was only young and my Dad took care of all that, but he told me prices were atrocious, and stewarding was equally as poor.

I've been to Wembley on 3 occasions, each time supporting the losing side and all 7 goals I've seen scored were scored at the opposite end to where I was sitting. So understandably my experiences of Wembley are hardly fond in that respect.

Pros: It is a nice large stadium with good leg room and a good vessel to generate atmosphere in on a big occasion. Coach parking is right outside the ground and is easy to get to.

Cons: The surrounding areas of Wembley stadium are hardly picturesque, well as picturesque as an industrial estate would allow. You are better off visiting pubs further away from the stadium itself as they tend to fill up quickly and the takeaways run out of food and are quite expensive. I remember on each occasion, being stuck to find bins outside the stadium and with the large police presence patrolling the surrounding areas of Wembley, littering probably isn't the best idea. The food inside the ground is overpriced and of low quality.

I was lucky enough to see my 'local' Team at wembley early on in NEW wembley's life, unfortunately we played 'Thugs utd' and had a mare!
However once in the safety of the ground you can't help but admire the layout, view, facilities etc though like most people i would go hungry before buying the food.

I have also watched the national side and a rugby match there and haven't seen an atmosphere yet, but i think thats the way sport in general is going now.

As fantastic as the new stadium looks it also has it's floors. It still feels a bit 'to new' and lacks any real chracter or atmosphere! The food & drink is also very overpriced so don't even bother buying in there! Twice i have visited with my club and i've also seen numerous of gigs there where the stewarding has been heavy handed and over the top! Despite all this the views are very good even in the upper tiers & the concourses are very spacious. Don't believe the hype as it can leave you very underwhelmed. Millenium stadium is far better in my opinion!

if you have to drive, don't drive all the way to Wembley! parking is non existent! park outside of town and train/tube it the rest of the way. for a pre match drink, don't bother around Wembley, Finchley Road is a stop away on the tube and there are a good few pubs there, but still give yourself an hour to make it to your seat! once inside the ground beer is no more expensive than it is in central London, food is extortionate and the views are great wherever you sit. the lower tier is far superior to the upper though! if visiting Wembley is not a regular occurence then spend the extra money on lower tier tickets, the view, atmosphere and whole experience is much better than in the heavens - you won't regret it.

Wembley can be a nightmare for travelling to/from. Whilst the seats are comfortable, the food and drink is barely edible and you need a bank loan to pay the high prices. The pitch is very poor and generally organisation and atmosphere inside the ground is no very good.
When compared to Cardiff, Wembley is a very poor third.
