Bramall Lane is a decent ground, on my recent visit for an FA Cup match, due to the large following by
Birmingham City I was seated in the upper tier of the Bramall Lane stand normally allocated for home
supporters, the view was good and the leg room was ok but the Kiosks were very poor far to slow.
The train station is about a 15 minute walk away and I can recommend The Sheffield Tap right outside
the station entrance, the other two pubs near by The Howard and The Globe were both packed with
Blues supporters, but despite the big following the police seemed very lay back. Overall a trip to Bramall
Lane is one of the better away days.

Dont park in the B&Q car park youll get clamped unless youre using to store, theres plenty of street parking on the road and adjacent roads directly behind the store.A good cheap place to drink is the Queens Road Social Club.A friendly "Phoenix Nights" style club mainly full of home supporters but away fans wanting a quiet drink are made welcome. It is situated with the B&Q behind you, roughly 200 yds to the right on the other side of the road across from the casino, there are also a few car parks in this area that charge £4-£5.The ground is less than a 10 min walk from here

Been to Bramall Lane a few times now and gotta say its one of the better away days on the calendar for me. I always stay over (and park) the night before in the <a href="http://hotelaccommodation.at/netfreestuff?LID=awaygrounds_sheffield_united_comments&DURL=http://www.hotels.com/ho324129/copthorne-hotel-sheffield-sheffield-united-kingdom/" rel="nofollow">adjoining copthorne hotel</a> and have found it bloody good vfm.

Grounds a goodun and atmospheres generally pretty decent. I tend to do my drinking and eating on the friday night as its a drive home after the game and its only a 5 min walk to a strip of restaurants the best of which is a thai (cant remember name but usually busy) local fans are always pleasant in my experience and its normally only the 90 mins on the bloody pitch that taints the weekend!!! Am yet to see a good game so far.

there is a B&Q store literally 4 min walk from the stadium.. this has a large car park area in which come fans use from time to time... this is a good car parking spot for both away and home fans

Although the team that plays there may be a bit rabid tactically (and mentally as well) they have a stadium which is an unsung gem. It has a atmosphere which outshines most other grounds of its size while refurbished and modern look to it. Having been to Hillsborough , Oakwell and Keepmoat this is one of yorkshires better grounds (of course, not as impressive as Elland road or KC). Getting there, thanks to its links from both the south and north was not a problem - and parking in the city centre was surprisingly cheap (try the "europark" near the skyscraper). The police made sure there was no trouble before the match and entering was simple and easy. Thanks to the big screen to the left there was no obstruction to match information.

The downsides are the lack of chanting in the stand to the right (the Kop and corner supplies most of their noise). Being in the higher tier would have been desirable and leaving before kick-off is a bad Idea due to Sheffield United fan's intent on leaving 10 minutes early. There is a wave of traffic which can be avoided 5 minutes either side that you do not want to get caught up in.

Overall this was a good day out and I would reccomend this ground to any championship fan looking for a match with a good atmosphere and a lot of banter between fans.
