Reading for me was the epitomy of a modern stadium; conveniently located just off the motorway and away from any residential areas, clean and tidy with generally good facilities. The park and ride scheme is very efficient which made getting in and out very easy. On the down side, the ground is pretty soulless with very little character and the atmosphere generated by the home fans was minimal. There was a small section to the right of the away stand that got involved with a bit of banter however... and a 2-0 win for us definitely helped in that respect!

i went to the madjeski stadium last season and to be honest its quite a nice stadium, we parked in a shopping centre nearby, its relitivly easy to get to once you get off the M4, the only thing that was a real let down was the atmosphere, we were literaly on our own, and the only noise was the family stand clapping in time with a drum in the corner, quite a depressing croud.

Getting to the Madejski was pretty easy - Take the J11 M4 turnoff, and then follow signs for "Football Parking", where you pay a fiver and leave your car in an unused (on Saturdays at least) office car park. The ground itself is then around a 5 minute walk away, meaning your exit is pretty swift too - a 5 minute walk back to your car, and 10 minutes later you're back on the M4 heading on your merry way.

I really enjoyed our day out at Reading (I don't think I've ever celebrated a 0-0 draw so much... we were going through some bad times and were expecting a real thrashing) - the fans we met were really friendly, and the ground is pretty impressive, offering great views of the action, superb acoustics for singing and bloody good hot dogs too!
