There is a pub near by called the Annex, which welcomes both home and away fans. The home fans are very friendly and welcoming and they are very passionate of their pirate heritage. At the time of my visit, there was a record attempt to try and get as many people dressed as pirates in one place (The Memorial Stadium). This was also open to the Norwich fans. The away stands themselves aren't really stands. The end stand is a seat-filled tent/marquee and the side stand is standing scaffolding. The stewards are friendly and the ground staff are friendly too. Half time food is limited and toilets are of poor quality as they are small grubby portaloos and few of them for that matter. The ground is shared with Bristol Rugby Club, so the pitch is rather worn and damaged from the rugby players.

I normally avoid local derbies as i find them tedious affairs with fans of tin pot clubs getting over excited about nothing!
However i was outnumbered and went to this ground to tick it off the list and be done with it.
The area surrounding the ground is a little run down, stewards and catering staff were pleasant, but the ground is shabby at best, there are about 5 mini stands, ours being a marquee with an average view.
For the females amongst your group make sure you go to the loo before entering this ground as the cubicles are disgusting!!
